Big guns to return? - How England could line up against Poland

Gareth Southgate will be looking to make it three wins from three during this international break as England face Poland. How will the Three Lions line up?

Gareth Southgate's England side will be hoping to continue their dominance in Group I of World Cup 2022 qualification.

The Three Lions have won all five games so far, and are top of the table having conceded just one goal. They face second placed Poland after their 4-0 thrashing of Andorra, and will expect a much tougher task this time around.

Southgate made plenty of changes against Andorra, giving the likes of Conor Coady, Tyrone Mings and Patrick Bamford starts, but he's expected to revert to his first choice XI against Paulo Sousa's Poland.

England Predicted XI

Sam Johnstone started the last game, but Jordan Pickford is England's number one 'keeper, and will once again be between the sticks.

Kyle Walker will face competition from Trent Alexander-Arnold and Reece James by the time Qatar rolls around, but he's Southgate's preferred option at right-back at the moment.

John Stones and Harry Maguire will be the centre-half pairing once more, with Luke Shaw back in at left-back.

After Jude Bellingham shone last time out, Southgate will have to make a decision, but he's likely to revert to his tried and trusted pivot of Declan Rice and Kalvin Phillips.

Jack Grealish seems to have moved up in the pecking order since moving to Manchester City, although Phil Foden's injury has helped that. The former Aston Villa man will play off the left, with Raheem Sterling on the right, and Mason Mount playing centrally behind the striker.

Bamford may have featured last time out, but Harry Kane will resume duties as the main man against the Polish backline.

In essence, it'll be the same starting XI as the one that took to the field against Hungary.
