Liverpool were far from at their best, but Sadio Mane's double confirmed their victory over Crystal Palace and qualification into next season's Champions League.
But who were the key performers?
He was man-of-the-match against West Brom last week and while not being quite as influential here, still showed the opposite how to run a match from the centre of the pitch.
Once again, he made the most passes and had the most touches of any midfielder on the pitch, and the way in which he moved around again showed that when on the top of his game, there's few like him in football.
But in an overall low-key display for Liverpool despite the high stakes, it was his instinctive finish from close range which settled the nerves and got the Reds off the mark.
And he clinched the win in the second half after being provided with an assist by strike partner Mo Salah. He has much to prove to Jurgen Klopp that he deserves another season leading the line, but this was at least a step in the right direction.
