A professional performance from Arsenal saw them record a straightforward victory against Newcastle at St James' Park.

But who were the best performers for the Gunners?

✔️ Mo Elneny: 7.8

The defensive midfielder has been far from first choice this season but scored an excellent goal here and contributed to his team's all-round display.

Elneny recorded a 100% pass completion in the contest and only lost possession on a single occasion. But given Newcastle's meek performance, he wasn't required to do much in the way of defensive duties.

Though the goal he did score was excellent, putting his body in an excellent position to watch the ball fall onto his foot and volley with precision into the corner of the net, giving the keeper no chance.

⭐️ Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang: 7.8

It's fair to say that Aubameyang has blown hot and cold at times this season on the back of the bumper new contract he signed last summer.

But here he was obviously the class attacker on the pitch, laying on the opening goal for team-mate Mo Elneny which gave Arsenal the lead.

And he showed excellent technique to jump high and convert Gabriel Martinelli's excellent cross into the net with the toe of his boot.

Auba also didn't misplace a pass in the entire 90 minutes - a seriously impressive return and shows his build-up play was on point, too.
