Barcelona squandered a whole host of good chances but were at least able to claim the three points with a 1-0 victory in Huesca.

But who were the standout performers in the contest?

✔️ GOOD PERFORMANCE

Ousmane Dembele: 8.5

Most parts of Dembele's performance here were on point and all that was lacking was a final goal contribution in the contest.

He made a huge 11 touches inside the area and completed four dribbles and although his shooting was off - he has six shots in total, second only to Messi - he made good openings for himself and couldn't find the target. But he's doing the right things.

Lionel Messi: 8.0

A slightly low-key evening for the Argentine but only by his own high standards, yet we were still treated to a fantastic assist.

Messi waited for the perfect moment to flick a glorious cross into the area and onto the foot of Frenkie de Jong, who had made a burst into the area to convert low into the corner.

A stunning free kick effort that looked bound for the top corner was also denied by the goalkeeper as Messi's form gets a little more consistent with each passing week.

STAR MAN

Frenkie de Jong 8.5

The Dutchman hasn't always been the most assertive of players since his move to Barcelona but he is definitely beginning to find his feet in the team.

The former Ajax midfielder pulled the strings from the centre here and it was noticeable that his run beyond the forwards created the only goal of the game, meeting Messi's pass with a neat finish.

It's something Barcelona will demand more of from the Netherlands player and there's hope that this is a performance to build upon.
