    About Benjamin Mendy

    Who is Benjamin Mendy?

Benjamin Mendy is 29-years-old, born on 17 July 1994, and is a left-footed professional football player from France. Born in Longjumeau, Benjamin Mendy has also played in Premier League for Man City, in Coupe de France for Monaco and in Coupe de France for Marseille.

Benjamin Mendy has talent as big as his personality. After spells with Le Havre and Marseille, Mendy excelled as part of a fantastic Monaco side that triumphed in Ligue 1 in 2016-17, as well as reaching the Champions League semi-finals. His marauding runs from full-back were a key attribute of that side, prompting Manchester City to spend £50m to secure his services. The majority of his first season was, however, spent more on social media than on the pitch after a serious knee injury derailed his season. But this magnetic character will not be denied and has developed into an assist-providing defender that is vital to the way that City play. A fans favourite, and a team-mate favourite too, judging by the reaction to his return to the team in 2018. He currently plays as a Defender (Left) in Ligue 1 for club Lorient.

    How good is Benjamin Mendy?

Based on our FC Ranking and match performance analysis he currently has a ranking of 56 out of 99 which is 'Under Average-level' compared to other football players around the world.
