About Türkiye Kupası

Founded in 1962, the Turkish Cup is the most prestigious club cup competition in Turkey. The tournament runs from August to May and is open to Turkish professional and amateur teams. It is a straight knockout format up until the sixth round when it becomes a group stage, with winners and runners up contesting semi-finals and then the final. One hundred and fifty-eight teams enter the tournament each season, with Galatasaray winning the most titles in its history (17). The competition’s all-time leading goalscorer is Hami Mandıralı (31 goals).
