SPAL are an Italian football club who feature in the Italian Serie A. They have spent the majority of their existence within Serie B and Serie A, constantly gaining promotions then suffering relegations. SPAL, also known as the Biancazzurri, also reached the 1962 Coppa Italia final when they lost to Napoli. Historically, their most famous and celebrated players are Aulo Lucchi, Oscar Massei, Gianfranco Bozzao, Carlo Novelli, Rachid Arma, Fabio Capello, and Luigi Delneri. Serafino Montanari took the club to their only Coppa Italia final. Their home since 1928 has been the Stadio Paolo Mazza which has a capacity of just over 13,000 spectators.
