On a day where football could change forever, one of the main sponsors of the European Super League fell to a damaging defeat that could ironically rule them out of next season's Champions League.
A late goal from Ruslan Malinovsky earned Atalanta a massive 1-0 victory over Juventus in the race for the top four in Serie A.
The result means that Atalanta move above Juve into third place in the table with just seven games remaining.
Juventus fall down to fourth and will be joined by Napoli on 62 points if the Azzurri win on Sunday evening.
Lazio will also only be two points behind Juve if they win their game in hand.
In a keenly-contested match, Duvan Zapata headed inches wide while Malinovsky went close with a free-kick. Alvaro Morata missed Juventus' best chance.
But it was Malinovsky who won all three points with just minutes remaining. It is a result that leaves Pirlo hanging onto his job ahead of Sunday's supposed big Super League announcement.
