Man Utd - Fulham

Edinson Cavani continued his remarkable end to the season with a goal against Fulham to make it six goals from the last six for the towering striker.

In a match that offered very little for either side to play for, Cavani got the fans off their seats with a remarkable goal in the 15th minute, when a flick on from Bruno Fernandes played the striker through on goal.

However, instead of rushing through to tap the ball by the goalkeeper, Cavani shot from 40 yards out and with remarkable skill lofted the ball over Alphonse Areola in goal.

It was better late than never for Joe Bryan on Tuesday evening, as the English left-back bagged his first and perhaps only goal of the season in front of a lively Old Trafford crowd to earn his relegated side a point.

Despite Man Utd taking the lead in the first half, Fulham put their hosts under a huge amount of pressure in the second period and were able to strike in the 76th minute when Bobby Reid darted by Luke Shaw to swing the ball into the back post.

Perhaps unexpectedly, Bryan was rushing towards the far post at that point and happily obliged his team mate by heading the ball into the back of the net without a marker in sight.

It seems as though the rich vein of form that saw Paul Pogba turn into Man Utd's playmaker in chief has finally dried up, as the France international offered very little in an attacking sense for another game.

Despite bagging four assists in April, the midfielder has now gone six games without picking up a single assist for Man Utd and will undoubtedly need to pick up his form if he and the club are going to win the forthcoming Europa League final.
