Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp could welcome Diogo Jota back into his starting XI for the midweek clash with Newcastle an Anfield.
With Jota only just returning from injury ahead of the weekend victory at home to Aston Villa, the Portuguese was left on the bench, with Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain starting in a False 9 role as the most central of the front three.
That was due to Roberto Firmino and Divock Origi also being missing with injury.
Firmino has returned to training this week following weeks on the sidelines, but Thursday will likely come too quick for him to be involved from the start.
Curtis Jones, Harvey Elliott and Nat Phillips are definite absentees for the Reds.
Liverpool do have a game against much tougher opposition this coming weekend against Tottenham, so Klopp may take the opportunity just to freshen things up a little against Newcastle.
Alisson will start in goal, but Ibrahima Konate could be given a run out in defence alongside Virgil van Dijk, Trent Alexander-Arnold and Andy Robertson, with Joel Matip given a rest on the bench.
Thiago, despite his excellent recent form, might also be saved for Spurs, which could mean Naby Keita given a start in the midfield three with Jordan Henderson and Fabinho.
Jota should return to partner Sadio Mane and Mohamed Salah in attack.
