The most surprising result of the Premier League weekend saw West Brom win big against Chelsea, emerging from Stamford Bridge as 5-2 winners over Thomas Tuchels side.

Chelsea actually led in the first half but things fell apart when Thiago Silva was shown a second yellow card and was subsequently dismissed before the break.

West Brom took advantage and actually played some scintillating football in order to complete their comeback and eventually score five.

The best player on the pitch and of the entire Premier League weekend was Matheus Pereira (10) who scored a perfect 10 FC Rating.

He recorded two goals and two assists on the day, with his first goal coming via a delightful lob, while the second saw him fool a number of defenders to shift the ball back on to his left foot to screw a finish into the bottom corner.

Team-mate Callum Robinson (8.8) only entered the game in the 37th minute thanks to an injury, but made the most of his opportunity and scored two from the bench.

Leading the line in the Premier League Team of the Week is Harry Kane (8.6) who was unlucky not to be on the winning side as he scored two for Tottenham in the 2-2 draw against Newcastle.

Making up the front four is Diogo Jota (8.7), who continued his spectacular recent form with a two-goal haul against Arsenal. He also won 5/7 duels during his 30 minutes on the pitch from the bench.

Paul Pogba (8.2) and Tanguy Ndombele (8.0) make up the central midfield pairing, with the former completing the fourth-most passes into the final third of any player this weekend and also making 10 ball recoveries.

Trent Alexander-Arnold (7.9) bounced back from his England squad omission with an assist against Arsenal, and slots in at right-back.

Benjamin Mendy (7.4) was surprisingly among the goals for Manchester City against Leicester and features at left-back.

In the centre of defence, we have Nathaniel Phillips (7.6), who helped Liverpool to a clean sheet at the Emirates, and Joe Rodon (7.4).

Crystal Palace eventually earned a late 1-1 draw with Everton and have Vicente Guaita (8.1) to thank for keeping them in the game as he made a string of excellent saves as well as eight ball recoveries.
