Inter started 2021 where they left off in 2020 with yet another Serie A victory over relegation-threatened Crotone.

Lautaro Martinez hit a hat-trick, while Romelu Lukaku scored one and made one as the Nerazzurri made it eight league victories in a row to pile the pressure on fellow title challengers Milan.

So who were the standout performers?

✔️ GOOD PERFORMANCE

Romelu Lukaku: 8.1

The Belgian's prolific campaign continued on Sunday as he scored his 12th Serie A goal of the season and 18th in all competitions. This sees him join Cristiano Ronaldo - at least temporarily - on the top of the Capocannoniere charts.

He ran onto Alessandro Bastoni's long pass before comfortably finishing his one-on-one chance.

Lukaku also provided an assist for his strike-partner Lautaro after holding off a defender, as the duo showed why they are considered by many as the best attacking pairing in Europe.

He was also involved in the move for Lautaro's second goal, but was forced off with a slight injury with 15 minutes remaining.

BAD PERFORMANCE

Arturo Vidal: 5.8

Not for the first time this season, Vidal put in a disappointing performance. With Inter leading 2-1, his rash foul gifted Crotone a penalty to level the scores at 2-2.

Antonio Conte subsequently hauled him off at half time, and Inter improved considerably without him as they eventually won 6-2.

Although Inter are on an eight-match winning run, Vidal has largely under-performed since arriving from Barcelona last summer.

STAR MAN

Lautaro Martinez: 10

A perfect 10 rating for the Argentine, who hit a brilliant hat-trick at San Siro.

One of the most natural finishers in the game, Lautaro first of all levelled the scores with a thumping finish from Lukaku's assist.

He was heavily involved in the move that saw Luca Marrone put through his own net, before the Argentine restored Inter's lead in the second half with a clinical finish from Marcelo Brozovic's pass.

Lautaro completed his hat-trick with a poacher's goal, heading home after reacting quickest to a rebound.

He had a game-high seven shots and 10 touches in the box as Inter reached the 40-goal mark after just 15 Serie A matches.
