The Merseyside Derby takes place this weekend with Liverpool making the short journey to face Everton at Goodison Park in the Premier League.

Jurgen Klopp may have Fabinho available to feature again after he missed the last couple of games due to a muscle issue. If he is fit, it is likely he'll step back into the centre-back position which will allow Jordan Henderson to move into his favoured spot in midfield.

Curtis Jones recorded an assist in Liverpool's huge 2-0 away win against RB Leipzig in the Champions League, but if Fabinho returns it will likely be at his expense.

January signing Ozan Kabak has started the last two matches and will probably do so again in the derby, though he has collected yellow cards in both so might have to be given a word in the ear about the intensity of games against Everton to keep his cool.

Trent Alexander-Arnold and Andy Robertson will retain their spots at full-back.

Gini Wijnaldum didn't have a particularly great game against RB Leipzig but his energy in the middle of the park is vital so he'll probably keep his spot, with Thiago making up the midfield three alongside the Dutchman and Henderson.

The star forward trio of Mohamed Salah, Sadio Mane, and Roberto Firmino will likely retain their places from Champions League duties.

James Milner and Naby Keita are close to getting back to full fitness, with the latter having spent two months out, but if they are to make an appearance against Everton it will probably be from the bench.

There is positive news surrounding Diogo Jota, too, as he might return to the playing squad at the start of March.

Joel Matip, Virgil van Dijk, and Joe Gomez remain long-term absentees.
