Manchester City received positive news this week after Pep Guardiola confirmed that Jack Grealish and Phil Foden are close to a return to action.
Grealish has been missing since the international break, while Foden was left out of the Champions League clash against Paris Saint-Germain on Wednesday.
Guardiola revealed in his press conference on Friday that both are training on their own, but are making good progress.
“They are training individually,” said Guardiola.

“They are much better, especially Phil. Right now they are on a day off and tomorrow we train in the morning and we will see how they feel.
“We will not take risks, but hopefully they will come back soon."
Even if one or both players completes full training on Saturday, it seems unlikely that they will be thrown back into the starting XI against the Hammers.
Kevin De Bruyne is still isolating after a positive Covid test, while Ferran Torres has a fractured foot.
Ederson will start in goal behind a back four of Kyle Walker, Ruben Dias, Aymeric Laporte and Joao Cancelo.
Dias could come in to replace John Stones, who started versus PSG.
Rodri, Bernardo Silva and Ilkay Gundogan could make up the midfield three.
Gabriel Jesus came off the bench to score the winning goal against the French giants so he could earn a recall to the starting XI, with Raheem Sterling and Riyad Mahrez also up top.
