In arguably the most eagerly awaited game of the competition so far, England faced Scotland at Wembley in just the second time the nations had played each other in a major competition.
That first game was won by England thanks to a bit of Paul Gascoigne magic and a classy finish from Alan Shearer in Euro 1996, but this time around the game ended as a 0-0 draw. It was the first goalless draw between the teams ever at Wembley, and despite being underdogs, Scotland more than held their own.
Who impressed, and who failed to deliver?

Given the highest rating on the pitch, Reece James justified his selection from Gareth Southgate with a steady performance at right-back.
He replaced Kyle Walker in the starting XI, and dealt with the threat of Kieran Tierney and Andrew Robertson down Scotland's left.
He delivered a pinpoint cross for Harry Kane in the first-half, although the Spurs man was offside, and was secure in possession all night.
He had an incredible 98.8% pass accuracy, and it's this ability on the ball that will likely see him remain as England's first choice right-back for the rest of the tournament.
Although the game was tense and neither side allowed much to get past, James, along with his club teammate Mason Mount, looked the most likely to make something happen, and he nearly scored with an effort from just outside the 18-yard box.
Overall, a decent display from the 21-year-old.

Overall, it was an extremely disappointing day out for the England captain.

He dropped deep to pick the ball up from the centre-backs and he sprayed passes from left to right with a 90.9% accuracy. Despite coming off in the 76th minute, he still completed the most passes in the entire Scotland squad (44); it was an assured performance from Gilmour, and he should be rewarded with a start against Croatia in their final group game.
