England could bring Harry Maguire into their starting XI for the first time in the 2020 European Championship after the Manchester United captain missed the opening game against Croatia.
Maguire has been suffering from an ankle injury and it was originally believed he would be fit again for the third fixture against the Czech Republic or possible the first knockout round should England qualify.
However, on Thursday he declared himself fit to play, and manager Gareth Southgate could put him straight back into the starting XI due to the magnitude of the game against England's arch enemies.
Should he return, it will be at the expense of Tyrone Minge, with John Stones, Kyle Walker and Kieran Tripper retaining their places in the backline.
Southgate has Ben Chilwell and Luke Shaw at his disposal at left-back, but seems to prefer Trippier in that role for now.
Kalvin Phillips was England's best player in the 1-0 win versus Croatia so he is a certain starter, again with Declan Rice protecting his defence in central midfield.
It should be as-you-were in attack, too.
Harry Kane will start up front with Raheem Sterling, Phil Foden and Mason Mount just in behind.
The likes of Jack Grealish and Marcus Rashford are pushing for starts also, while Jadon Sancho will hope to make the squad after being left out against Croatia.
Scotland, meanwhile, had a disastrous start to their first summer tournament since 1998 as they lost their opening game at home to the Czech Republic.
They have been given a boost for the England game, though, as it seems like Kieran Tierney will be fit to play after suffering an injury before the opening. The Arsenal man will slot in on the left-hand side of the back three should he pass a fitness test for the gargantuan match at Wembley.
Jack Hendry, partly at fault for the second goal conceded on Monday, will drop out.
Motherwell right-back Stephen O'Donnell had a torrid time against the Czech Republic but should retain his place at right wing-back as the only other options for that role are the more attack-minded James Forrest and Ryan Fraser.
Captain Andy Robertson will start on the opposite wing.
In midfield, Stuart Armstrong could be asked to play a deeper role alongside Scott McTominay and Callum McGregor this time which will allow John McGinn to feature in a more advanced position behind the striker.
Ryan Christie and Lyndon Dykes could drop out, with Che Adams in the lone striker role.
