    About Luis Suárez

    Who is Luis Suárez?

Luis Suárez is 37-years-old, born on 24 January 1987, and is a right-footed professional football player from Uruguay. Born in Salto, Luis Suárez has also played in Série A for Grêmio, in Copa Sudamericana for Nacional, in Supercopa de España for Atletico Madrid, in Supercopa de España for Barcelona, in Premier League for Liverpool, in Eredivisie for Ajax and in Eredivisie for Groningen.

Luis Suarez is easy to dislike but his natural finishing ability is virtually unparalleled and he has retained an extraordinarily high level over the last ten years. His fantastic performances for Ajax, including 49 goals in 48 games in the 2009/10 season, were rewarded with a move to Liverpool and while there he almost single-handedly drove them to their first Premier League title, netting 31 league goals as they just missed out to Manchester City. His scoring record has remained astonishing upon his move to Barcelona, winning the Champions League in his first season. It's difficult to separate him from his various misdemeanours - the racism incident with Patrice Evra and the pair of bites on Branislav Ivanovic and Giorgio Chiellini - but as a footballer he will be remembered as an almost perfect finisher. He currently plays as a Striker (Centre) in MLS for club Inter Miami.
