The rivalry between PSV Eindhoven and Feyenoord is born out of the fact that both teams vie for supremacy in Dutch football alongside the giants from Amsterdam, Ajax. They are the three most successful teams in terms of titles, but the side from Amsterdam are streets ahead of PSV and Feyenoord, hence their dislike for what they consider to be the ‘establishment club’. Having said that, there is no love lost between the teams, and their supporters can regularly be found clashing on matchday. Indeed, it is not a rarity for fans of one of the three teams to turn up in a fixture between the other two.
