About Jan Oblak
Who is Jan Oblak?
Jan Oblak is 31-years-old, born on 07 January 1993, and is a right-footed professional football player from Slovenia. Born in Škofja Loka, Jan Oblak has also played in Primeira Liga for Benfica.
Jan Oblak had the unenviable task of having to follow David de Gea and Thibaut Courtois at Atletico Madrid, but he has shown the ability and the mental strength to become one of Europe's most coveted goalkeepers. The Slovenian international had only made 16 appearances for Benfica before Atletico chose to spend €16m on him in 2014, and after competing with Miguel Moya in his first season became the undisputed number one as Atletico challenged for the Champions League in 2016 and won the Europa League in 2018. Still only 25 and with a wealth of experience already under his belt, Oblak could be Atletico Madrid's goalkeeper for the next five years or more. He currently plays as a Goalkeeper in Primera Division for club Atletico Madrid.
