Paul Pogba has tested positive for coronavirus and will subsequently not be selected for the French squad for the upcoming Nations League round of fixtures.

Following Manchester United's loss in the semi-final of the Europa League, the Frenchman, along with the rest of the United squad, went on a short holiday before pre-season began.

Before the Premier League season is two fixtures in the UEFA Nations League, with France scheduled to take on Sweden and Croatia.

The news about Pogba's positive test came from France head coach Didier Deschamps, who announced that Eduardo Camavinga would be coming in as the World Cup winner's midfield replacement in the squad.

Tanguy Ndombele of Spurs has also tested positive for Covid-19 and will be left out of the squad.

The news comes at the same time as eight Chelsea players have been forced into quarantine after returning from foreign holidays.
