WWE superstar Triple H has urged Declan Rice to remain at West Ham and become a hero for the Hammers instead of transferring away from the London Stadium.

The young Englishman has emerged as a key player for West Ham over the past year and has also become a member of Gareth Southgate's England squad.

Having started his youth career at Chelsea, there has been persistent rumours that head coach Frank Lampard is looking to bring Rice back to Stamford Bridge in a big money deal, while Manchester United were previously linked with a play for his services last year, too.

However, Triple H, who has previously revealed an affinity for West Ham, thinks Rice should stay with the club to become a legend.

"I have a message for Declan Rice. Declan, you've got some big decisions ahead of you, I understand that," the Cerebral Assassin said in a Twitter post.

"Far be it from me to tell you what to do, but I'd like to give you a point of view. Sometimes in life there are more important things, there's an opportunity to be something more, to be a hero, to be a hero to fans who have supported you.

"To be a hero to people who have watched you come up through a system and succeed in that system, to be a hero and build something on your own.

"To not just succeed, but to succeed on your terms, build your franchise, build your legacy.

"Stay with the people that brought you to the dance. Stay with West Ham, and become the hero, become the champion.

"Become everything that they all know Declan Rice can be."

Triple H is currently promoting WWE's NXT UK brand's new television show launch on BT Sport.

The Game certainly believes Rice has the Pedigree to succeed.
