Frank de Boer is expected to continue with Gini Wijnaldum in central midfield for the Netherlands' Nations League clash against Poland.

The former Newcastle midfielder was the man of the match in the previous game, a 3-1 win against Bosnia.

He helped himself to two goals and was generally excellent as he earned a 8.8 FC Rating.

Despite Liverpool currently being in the middle of an injury crisis, with captain Jordan Henderson now out too, Wijnaldum will probably start as De Boer looks to guide his side to the Nations League finals.

Wijnaldum was taken off with 30 minutes to go against Bosnia.

Davy Klaassen, however, played the full 90 minutes so he could be rested versus Poland, with Manchester United midfielder Donny van de Beek recalled to play alongside Wijnaldum and Frenkie de Jong.

Luuk de Jong failed to impress in the last game, so De Boer could opt to hand a start to 21-year-old Donyell Malen.

Steven Berguis played most of the game at the weekend, so he could be replaced by either Quincy Promes or Calvin Stengs.

Memphis Depay will retain his place in the front three.
