Wilfried Zaha produced his best performance of the season as his superb attacking instincts helped Crystal Palace to an easy 5-1 win over 10-man West Bromich Albion.

📷 Wilfried Zaha: Match Snapshot

Zaha started the contest with real intent and took the match to WBA. In the opening 10 minutes he superbly rolled Matheus Pereira on the edge of the box and lashed in a low cross that Darnell Furlong could only direct into his own net.

And though WBA equalised, Pereira's subsequent red card shifted the match in favour of Palace and Zaha's abilities.

⏱️ 55' 10 minutes into the second half, the ball broke to Zaha on the left and he shifted it quickly back inside before curling brilliantly back across Sam Johnstone and into the far corner.

⏱️ 68' And he ended the match as a content soon after, scoring a poacher's goal after Ebereche Eze had bundled his way into the area, Zaha swivelling quickly to smash into the net from close range.

Zaha hit six shots on total and made a game-high 12 touches inside the opposition penalty area, as well as completing four dribbles during his 81 minutes on the pitch.

〽️ Wilfried Zaha: Rating Week-on-Week

✔️ IMPROVEMENT

Zaha has been missing for the past few weeks after contracting coronavirus, but was still excellent in Palace's 4-1 defeat of Leeds last time out, earning a 7.2 FC Rating. But here he was on another level again, collecting an 8.8 FC Rating.

Zaha: What Next?

Given Zaha's return to form it's likely that we will see another round of speculation regarding where the winger could end up. Arsenal and Tottenham have been linked in the past and it's the transfer fee that Palace would demand that will always be the stumbling block.

But when you see performances like this, you do wonder if we should be watching Zaha at a consistently higher level.
