Kevin De Bruyne recorded his 100th assist for Man City at the weekend when he set up the opening goal for John Stones in the comfortable 4-0 win versus Crystal Palace.

In the Premier League, he took his total to 76th, which puts him joint 10th in the list of the most assists in the league of all time alongside Teddy Sheringham.

The Belgian has 10 assists to his name this season, just one shy of the current leader in 2020/21, Harry Kane.

He has, of course, played for two clubs in his Premier League career following a spell with Chelsea, and did actually record an assist for the Blues.

Since the inaugural campaign of the Premier League in 1992/93, the leading assist-maker is Ryan Giggs on 162, miles ahead of Cesc Fabregas is second place on 111.

Giggs is aided by his longevity within English football as he played for Man Utd for 24 seasons from 1990 to 2014.

New Derby manager Wayne Rooney is third on 103, just one ahead of current Chelsea boss Frank Lampard on 102.
