In Serie A this weekend, the attackers were left more frustrated than usual by a series of excellent defensive performances. Starting in goal, Luigi Sepe (8.4) made four saves, as well as a further one from the penalty spot, as Parma secured a clean sheet in a 1-0 away win over Sampdoria.

Two Atalanta boys in the form of Berat Gjimshiti (8.2) and Rafael Toloi (8.1) feature in defence after a goal and an assist respectively in the win over Verona.

They are joined by Diego Godin (8.4) who further enhanced his shout for signing of the season with a towering defensive display for Inter in the 0-0 draw with Roma.

The best performer of the week was Cristian Ansaldi (8.5) who recorded a goal and an assist for Torino in the victory over Fiorentina.

Filip Duricic (8.3) scored one and set up another for Sassuolo, while Amadou Diawara (8.1) and Sergej Milinkovic-Savic (7.9) were vital for Roma and Lazio respectively as they claimed excellent results against Inter and Juventus.

In attack, Samuel Di Carmine (8.3) scored two for Verona, while Goran Pandev (8) and Filippo Falco (8.1) also got on the scoresheet for Genoa and Lecce.
