Bayern Munich kept in touch with Bayer Leverkusen at the summit of the Bundesliga with a hard-fought 2-1 win over Wolfsburg.

As so often has been the case in recent years, it was Robert Lewandowski who was decisive, with the striker netting twice after Hansi Flick’s side fell behind.

Here’s the story of Lewandowski’s night.

📷 Robert Lewandowski: Match Snapshot

Bayern’s night got off to a difficult start as Maximilian Philipp opened the scoring after five minutes.

⏱️ 45' Kingsley Coman gathers the ball on the left touchline then jinks inside to deliver a perfect cross for Lewandowski. The striker accepts the invitation with a perfect downward header to score his 250th Bundesliga goal.

⏱️ 45' Wolfsburg try to launch a counterattack but its broken up by Jerome Boateng, whose tackle turns into a perfect pass. Lewandowski is in acres of room outside the box. He takes a touch to advance, dodges past a challenge then dispatches into the bottom corner. Emphatic.

〽️ Lewandowski: Rating Week-on-Week
