Leeds United might have suffered a 1-0 defeat to Wolves, but not without summer signing Raphinha once again proving his worth to Marcelo Bielsa’s side.
The former Sporting CP and Rennes winger gave a dashing account of himself for the Elland Road club and was unfortunate to be on the losing side in a performance that merited far better.

📷 Raphinha: Match Snapshot
Leeds came into this match with a sizeable injury list, but at the top of that was influential midfielder Kalvin Phillips. Raphinha seemed to want to make amends of the loss of so many players and was central to much of what they did over the course of the match.
He proved a particular menace from set pieces and regularly sought out Liam Cooper from his dead-ball deliveries, but these were ultimately fruitless. Remarkably, he created three big chances but none were taken.
In the 94th minute of the game, his header was turned away by Rui Patricio, who made a string of outstanding stops for the hosts.
