Chelsea are alone at the top of the Premier League after overcoming Brentford 1-0 away in a Saturday evening London derby.

In a hard-fought affair at the Brentford Community Stadium, a solitary goal from Ben Chilwell was enough for the Blues to claim all three points and maintain their one-point gap over Liverpool and Manchester City, both of whom won earlier in the day.

Liverpool demolished Watford 5-0, with Mohamed Salah scoring another goal of the season contender, while Man City comfortably brushed aside Burnley with a 2-0 home victory with Bernardo Silva and Kevin De Bruyne scoring.

The game of the day saw Manchester United travel to Leicester, and it proved to be another unhappy afternoon for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

Despite taking an early lead through Mason Greenwood, the Red Devils would go on to lose 4-2. In a five-minute period in the second half, Man Utd twice went behind with an equalising goal coming in between three quickfire strikes.

Jamie Vardy scored the third and Patson Daka scored his first Premier League goal to make it 3-2 then 4-2. Man Utd are now five points adrift of Chelsea at the top of the table, while Leicester are up to 11th.

Wolves secured a dramatic win away at Aston Villa, too. Bruno Lage's men were 2-0 down with 10 minutes to go but rallied to sensationally win 3-2, with Ruben Neves getting the 95th minute winner.

Norwich made it two games unbeaten but were fortunate not to lose versus Brighton as the two teams played out a 0-0 draw at Carrow Road.

In the other 3pm kick-off, Southampton heaped further misery on Leeds with a 1-0 home win, with Chelsea loanee Armando Broja scoring the only goal of the game in the second half.
