How Manchester United could line up against Leicester City

Following a professional job against Milan in the Europa League on Thursday, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and his Manchester United side will be hoping to avoid any potential banana skins when they travel to Leicester City on Sunday.

Both sides face off in the quarter-finals of the FA Cup in a match that could just as easily go either way, especially if Man Utd are forced to drop a number of key players.

With injuries elsewhere, Solskjaer will be encouraged by his ability to start a relatively full-strength defence against a dangerous Leicester side.

Dean Henderson will likely keep his spot in goals, behind a back four of Luke Shaw, Harry Maguire, Victor Lindelof and Aaron Wan-Bissaka.

Donny van de Beek did return to the Man Utd squad for Thursday’s clash with Milan but is still unlikely to start over a midfield duo of Scott McTominay and Fred, with Bruno Fernandes in the No.10 position.

However, the Man Utd manager’s issues will be evident in how the front line sets up on Sunday. Edinson Cavani and Anthony Martial are still returning from injury, but Marcus Rashford was forced off against Milan with a “twinge” on Thursday.

As such, Solskjaer may need to turn to Paul Pogba again on the left wing, with Daniel James on the right and Mason Greenwood through the middle.
