Mauricio Pochettino says it is his "dream" to coach Real Madrid at some point in his career, and reveals that he was not approached to become Barcelona boss.
The 48-year-old has been without a club since last year after being sacked by Tottenham, but his stock remains high as he has been linked with a number of top jobs in European football.
With regards to Barcelona, he said he couldn't see himself working with current president Josep Maria Bartomeu.
"They didn't offer me to coach Barca," he told Marca .

Pochettino was reportedly offered the chance to coach Real Madrid in 2018, taking over from Zinedine Zidane in the process, but opted to honour his contract with Spurs.
That doesn't mean the hot seat at the Santiago Bernabeu isn't high on his list of career targets, though.
"I don't know if I'll ever coach Madrid, but of course it's my dream," he responded when asked about the job.
"If it's not the best it's one of the best clubs in the world. I'm no different, everyone has it on their dream list."
Pochettino had been linked with a number of elite clubs during the summer, but he clarified the concrete offers which he did indeed receive.
"Neither PSG, nor Juventus, nor Inter Milan [made offers in the off-season]," he revealed.
"I did have a call from Benfica and Monaco. I have no need to lie."
