Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang's dreadful run in front of goal continued as he was once again left frustrated, this time by a Wolves team who were good value for their 2-1 win at the Emirates.
But just how poorly did Aubameyang play?
📷 Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang: Match Performance
Aubameyang hasn't scored a league goal in open play since striking against Fulham in September. He has netted a penalty since in the defeat of Manchester United at Old Trafford, but by his own high standards, this is a horror spell.
He has now went 630 league minutes without an open-play contribution and without his goals Arsenal have really, really toiled.
Their attacking statistics are dreadful overall, but Auba's are really concerning. Here, at least, he had a higher volume of shots overall (five in the contest), but only one of them was on target and none of them, truthfully, ever looked like going in.
He looks like a player short on confidence, unsure of what the tactics around him are meant to be. He made just 23 touches of the ball and attempted 11 passes. None of them were in particularly dangerous areas, either, and Wolves marshalled him all too easily.
〽️ Aubameyang: Rating
❌ REGRESSION
6.0, 6.1, 5.8, 7.0, 6.0. It's just not good enough at the moment from a player who signed a huge new contract in the summer is not even close to delivering what is expected. This is now Arsenal's worst-ever start to a Premier League season.

Aubameyang: What Next?
He needs to find his confidence, and his form, and find it fast. Arsenal's upturn in fortune is directly linked to Aubameyang and there's no other real, regular goalscorer in the team. Things are reaching a position of crisis.
