Looking to climb further up the Premier League standings, Nottingham Forest host Ipswich Town at the City Ground this Saturday.

Forest aim to bounce back after a heavy 3-0 defeat against Arsenal, while Ipswich will seek to build on their respectable draw with Manchester United last week. The clash promises intrigue, with both teams grappling with injuries and their own inconsistencies across recent performances.

While Forest remain hopeful of rekindling their defensive sturdiness, Ipswich are eager to convert their spirited displays into much-needed points as they hover dangerously near the relegation zone still.

With key players potentially returning from injury, both managers will need to make pivotal tactical decisions.

Nottingham Forest Team News

Manager Nuno Espírito Santo will look to reinvigorate a side that has struggled in its last two outings. Morgan Gibbs-White remains a doubt with an ankle issue, while Anthony Elanga could also miss out after sustaining a shoulder injury during the Arsenal match.

Other absences include Danilo and Ibrahim Sangaré, further limiting Espírito Santo’s midfield options.

Chris Wood is expected to lead the line, replacing Taiwo Awoniyi, who failed to make an impact last weekend. Jota Silva and Ramon Sosa could battle for a spot on the wing if Elanga is unavailable.

At the back, Nikola Milenković and Murillo will likely pair up in central defence, aiming to provide solidity after conceding six goals in two games.

Forest Predicted Lineup

Sels; Aina, Milenkovic, Murillo, Moreno; Yates, Dominguez; Hudson-Odoi, Gibbs-White, Silva; Wood

Ipswich Team News

Ipswich manager Kieran McKenna continues to navigate an injury crisis, with Ben Johnson, Kalvin Phillips, and Jacob Greaves all doubtful. Meanwhile, Chiedozie Ogbene, George Hirst, and Janoi Donacien remain long-term absentees.

Despite these challenges, McKenna is expected to stick with the team that drew against Manchester United, with minimal changes.

In-form Omari Hutchinson, who scored a deflected equaliser last week, will likely retain his attacking midfield role. Meanwhile, Nathan Broadhead’s groin injury leaves room for Sam Morsy to step up in midfield.

Up front, Liam Delap will spearhead the attack, hoping to exploit Forest’s recent defensive lapses.

Ipswich Predicted Lineup

Muric; Tuanzebe, O'Shea, Burgess, Davis; Cajuste, Morsy; Burns, Hutchinson, Szmodics; Delap
