The Chelsea midfielder produced a typically dynamic display in central midfield for Les Bleus as they overcame Portugal to top their UEFA Nations League group.

Kante, in a rarity, got the game's only goal. One to savour for the 29-year-old.

📷 Kante: Match Snapshot

Kante was his usual selfless self. The midfielder, paired alongside Juventus' Adrien Rabiot and Manchester United Paul Pogba, smothered the opposition, and broke up several Portuguese attacks.

⏱️ 53' Kante showed more alertness than many of his compatriots, and certainly more than the opposition, as he bundled home the ony goal of the game after Kingsley Coman's shot was spilled by Portugal stopper Rui Patricio.

Kante followed the ball up and dispatched it whilst everyone around him reacted in slow motion.
