Manchester United look to bounce back from their EFL Cup exit with a crucial Premier League fixture against Bournemouth at Old Trafford this afternoon. Ruben Amorim's side suffered a narrow 4-3 defeat to Tottenham, but their recent derby win over Manchester City showcased their capability to rise to big occasions. Sitting 13th, the Red Devils have the chance to enter the festive period on a positive note.

Bournemouth, meanwhile, extended their unbeaten league streak to four matches with a 1-1 draw against West Ham. Andoni Iraola's team have impressed with their attacking intent, averaging the second-highest number of shots in the Premier League.

As they visit Old Trafford, Bournemouth aim to secure points and continue their excellent run against United, having not lost to them in their last two meetings.

Manchester United continue to grapple with injury concerns. Luke Shaw (calf), Mason Mount (leg), and Victor Lindelof (knock) remain unavailable. Marcus Rashford’s absence persists, with his future at the club uncertain.

Matthijs de Ligt’s illness might also keep him sidelined, while Ruben Amorim must reshape his defence and midfield amid these absences.

The manager is expected to make changes after their midweek exertions, likely recalling Alejandro Garnacho and Rasmus Højlund to add spark to the attack. Bruno Fernandes will again shoulder playmaking duties, with support from a youthful midfield featuring Kobbie Mainoo.
