Manchester City scored three times in the final 10 minutes to secure a 4-1 victory over Wolves and extend their winning run in all competitions to 21 games.

Riyad Mahrez scored on what was a superb evening for him, but it was Gabriel Jesus who stole the show with a brace, thanks to a helping hand from VAR.

City are now 15 points clear atop the Premier League, while Wolves, who went behind early to a Leander Dendoncker own goal and levelled through Conor Coady, remain in the bottom half.

✔️ GOOD PERFORMANCE

Rodri: 8.6

Rodri was superb all evening and fully deserves to be mentioned alongside both Mahrez and Jesus.

The Spaniard dominated the midfield and gave City the foundations to attack and win the game late on.

He doesn’t always cover himself in glory but he was calm, composed and elegant all night. His rise has been rather understated this season.

✔️ GOOD PERFORMANCE

Riyad Mahrez: 8.6

Mahrez is another who could have won men of the match. The Algerian never stopped running all night, and was a constant thorn in the side of the Wolves defence.

His goal topped the evening off, but his creative contribution will not go unnoticed. Mahrez completed four dribbles on the night and made 10 crosses, more than anyone on both counts.

⭐ STAR MAN

Gabriel Jesus: 8.9

Manchester City are fighting on all fronts and there are whispers of a quadruple this season. All that has happened without a main striker for long periods. Sergio Aguero has been injured for much of the season, and Pep Guardiola has had to find new solutions at times.

Jesus staked his claim with two goals late on, which affords him the edge over the brilliant Mahrez in our ratings. Guardiola may have just found the striker who could fire them to glory, and perhaps he is thinking twice about spending big on firepower this summer.
