Manchester United returned to winning ways with a record 9-0 win over ten-man Southampton at Old Trafford on Tuesday night.
This result equals the biggest-ever win in the Premier League along with Man Utd's 9-0 thumping of Ipswich in 1995 and Leicester City's 9-0 thrashing of Southampton again in 2019.
The outcome of this match was virtually settled after just two minutes when Alexandre Jankewitz was sent off.
Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Marcus Rashford, a Jan Bednarek own goal and Edinson Cavani all scored before half-time to take the game away from the visitors.
And Anthony Martial (twice), Scott McTominay, Daniel James and Bruno Fernandes from the penalty spot added five more after the break.
This result means that Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's men re-join Manchester City at the top of the Premier League table, albeit having played two games more.

So which players impressed on the night?
✔️ GOOD PERFORMANCE
Luke Shaw: 8.8
The England left-back has responded well to the challenge of summer signing Alex Telles' arrival, and he once again impressed on Tuesday.
He delivered two assists in the first half for the goals of Wan-Bissaka and Cavani before he was taken off at half-time.
Shaw had a 92 per cent pass completion rate and also did well defensively, making seven recoveries.
Anthony Martial: 8.8
A welcome return to form for the Frenchman, who has been on the receiving end of some shameful abuse in recent weeks.
Having gone eight games without a goal, Martial only needed 45 minutes against Southampton to score twice off the bench.
He had five shots in total and 11 touches in the box in a devastating second-half display.
⭐ STAR MAN
Bruno Fernandes: 9.7
Another Man Utd game, another man-of-the-match performance for the brilliant Portuguese attacking midfielder.
His statistics against Southampton take some reading. He scored one, assisted two, had a game-high six shots, and 11 touches in the opposition box (joint highest with Martial).
He also had more crosses than anyone else on the pitch (seven) and had more final third passes than anyone. A masterclass, even in such a one-sided game.
