See how the players from both sides rated below.

✔️ GOOD PERFORMANCE

John Fleck: 7.0

Sheffield United continually struck a good balance between defending deep and resolutely and getting up the pitch at the right times to relieve pressure.

Fleck was key to that, winning seven out of his 14 duels, then dribbling up the pitch before making a team-high 12 final-third passes.

The Scot put in an incredible shift for the Blades on both sides of the ball and was vital to their win.

BAD PERFORMANCE

Mason Greenwood: 6.3

Mason Greenwood came into this game full of confidence after a goal against Liverpool but couldn't make his mark against more defensively minded opponents.

The Englishman managed just four touches in the box, got only one of his four shots on target, and struggled to truly threaten Sheffield United before being withdrawn in the second half.

STAR MAN

Chris Basham: 7.1

The visitors were always going to need to defend well and, in Chris Basham, they had a man capable of leading that defensive effort.

The 32-year-old won six out of 10 duels, made nine recoveries, and also did brilliantly in possession the help the visitors get out.

His 88% pass completion was better than any other Sheffield United player managed all night.
