Real Madrid dropped points in their Primera Division opener as they could only manage a 1-1 draw away at Mallorca.
Things started well for Los Blancos as Rodrygo opened the scoring with 13 minutes on the clock with a flashed finish into the right corner.
Mallorca would equalise in the 53rd minute and thereafter Real Madrid were unable to break their opponents down.

Real Madrid's goalscorer on the night, Rodrygo, was their best player overall. With Kylian Mbappe's arrival and the untouchable status of Vinicius Junior and Jude Bellingham, the pressure is on the Brazilian to deliver this campaign and he has already impressed in his first two competitive matches in 2024/25.
He opened the scoring in this game with a lovely effort into the right corner.
Rodrygo completed 32 passes into the final third against Mallorca and that was more than any other player in this round of Liga fixtures. He also won the majority of his duels and 100% of his attempted tackles.
Worst Player
Takuma Asano was statistically the worst player on the night, more due to his ineffectiveness than anything else. He played 72 minutes and only completed seven passes in a game in which Mallorca were heavily involved as a team.
