Atletico Madrid issued a real statement of intent by demolishing Granada 6-1 at the Wanda Metropolitano, and it was a debut to remember from their new signing Luis Suarez.

📷 Suarez: Match Snapshot

Suarez began the match from the bench and entered the fray on 70 minutes, likely expecting to ease himself into the action in his first minutes for his new club.

But he did so much more than that!

ASSIST ⏱️ 74' He started off with quite a straightforward assist, rolling the ball to Marcos Llorente for the midfielder to lash into the net to make it 4-0.

⏱️ 85' And with five minutes remaining Llorente returned the favour, floating a deep cross to the back post where Suarez leapt to meet it with a fantastic header which looped into the net.

⏱️ 90' And in injury time he rounded off the perfect day, his shot careering off the post and straight back into his path, allowing him to roll into the net.

Atletico were in insatiable form throughout and laid down a real marker to their rivals that they will be a threat for the title this season.
