✔️ GOOD PERFORMANCE
Gini Wijnaldum: 7.6
Despite the Dutchman's discussions over a new contract and whether he'll remain at Liverpool next year, he continues to produce performances of an extremely high quality and this was another, rounded off by a stunning goal.
Breaking forward with the score at 1-0, he executed a perfect curling shot into Rui Patricio's top corner and set the Reds on the way for a straightforward night's work.
❌ BAD PERFORMANCE
Conor Coady: 4.7
Spare a thought for the scouse defender desperate to put on a show against his former club, but instead had an evening he will want to forget.
He chested down a long ball in the first half when it would have been easier to head away, and Mo Salah pounced on the loose ball to smash into the net. And then when it looked as if he had won a penalty for his team, VAR chalked it off - correctly - after Coady was seen anticipating contact that never arrived. A horror show of a night for the stopper.
⭐ STAR MAN
Mo Salah: 8.2
Salah's presence back in the team was greatly enjoyed by all concerned, and he helped himself to a goal and an assist in the process.
The first, he took advantage of naive play from Coady to nip in and finish clinically into the corner, then in the second half his glorious cross was whipped right onto the head of Joel Matip, who powered home.
Liverpool are simply a different proposition with the Egyptian in the side, and he proved it once again here.
