Barcelona forward Lionel Messi was once again the top performer in round 13 of the Primera Division.
Although the Argentine’s side only managed to beat Levante by a solitary goal, Messi was unquestionably the focal point of Barcelona’s attack with 12 shots throughout the match and scorer of the only goal in the game. That earned him a remarkable rating of 10 on the day.
Alongside the Barcelona star in attack is Celta forward Iago Aspas (9.0), who has now made it in the league’s team of the week for four, straight weeks in a row. This time around the forward did so with a goal and two assists against Cadiz.
Joining Messi and Aspas up front is Valladoid forward Shon Weissman (8.1), after scoring two goals in his side’s hard-fought 3-2 victory over Osasuna at the weekend.
In midfield, Real Madrid star Toni Kroos (8.2) stole the headlines with a man of the match performance against Atletico Madrid and an assist for Casemiro's opening goal on the night.
