Lewandowski beats Ronaldo and Messi to be named Player of 2020

The Bayern hitman finished ahead of the Juventus and Barcelona superstars

Robert Lewandowski has been named as Player of the Year at the 2020 Globe Soccer Awards.

The Poland striker finished above second-placed Cristiano Ronaldo and third-placed Lionel Messi to win the prize at the annual gala in Dubai.

It caps off a memorable year for Lewandowski, who a fortnight ago was also named Player of the Year at the Best FIFA Football Awards

He won the treble for Bayern Munich last season, scoring 55 goals in 47 games. He already has 20 in 18 this term.

In the other categories, Ronaldo was named as Player of the Century, while Pep Guardiola was voted as Coach of the Century, Real Madrid as Club of the Century and Jorge Mendes as Agent of the Century.

Hans-Dieter Flick was named Coach of the Year, Bayern Munich Club of the Year, while Iker Casillas and Gerard Pique were handed Player Career Awards.
