Arsenal showed excellent resolve to respond to a shaky start and clinch a 3-1 win at Leicester City in the Premier League.

Youri Tielemans had fired the Foxes ahead but a superb flicked header from David Luiz levelled the scores, before an Alexandre Lacazette penalty and Nicolas Pepe tap-in earned the points.

✔️ NICOLAS PEPE: 7.3

The much-maligned wide player has not yet delivered to his potential at Arsenal but here in a changed line-up he showed what he can do.

His strike from the edge of the box struck Wilfried Ndidi on the arm and earned his side a penalty kick, and his dribbling gave the Leicester defence no end of problems in the first half.

And his hard work paid off in the second when he was in the right place to tap into the empty net and seal all three points, putting a stamp on a good week for the Gunners.

❌ JAMIE VARDY: 5.6

Vardy has been massively out of sorts since returning from a groin injury recently, and the goals have dried up for the usually prolific frontman.

He has a superb record against Arsenal but he was barely in this match at all, managing just 19 touches as the fixture completely passed him by; he was also well-marshalled by the duo of Pablo Mari and man-of-the-match David Luiz.

Indeed, Vardy didn't have a shot on goal in the entire 90 minutes. A rare thing indeed.

David Luiz: 7.3

It's performances like this from Luiz which makes you scratch your head and wonder why he can't do this more often.

The defender threw himself in front of everything and gave Vardy little room to operate throughout the match. He made two interceptions and won both of his tackles and aerial duels.

But his bravery to throw his head into a dangerous spot and draw his side level by glancing into the corner showed a desire that has sometimes been missing from this Arsenal team.
