Both Lazio and Sassuolo head into the final game of the Serie A season knowing their fate in the table.

At the moment, Lazio are positioned seventh in the table and can't move up or down barring a monumental shift in goal difference with rivals Roma.

Sassuolo, meanwhile, have already been relegated.

Current Form

Lazio current form

Lazio's form in the business end of the campaign has been positive as they are unbeaten in their last six matches in Serie A. In that run, they have defeated Salernitana, Genoa, Verona and Empoli.

It was their form earlier in the campaign that halted an assault on the top four before it started.

Sassuolo current form

As you would expect from a team already confirmed for relegated, Sassuolo have been poor recently, with just one victory to their name in nine matches.

That one win did impressively come against Inter, though.

They have lost two in a row against Genoa and Cagliari.

Lazio vs Sassuolo Team News

Nicolo Casale is suspended for Lazio after accumulating too many yellow cards.

Apart from that, Maurizio Sarri doesn't have any significant selection concerns.

As for Sassuolo, Martin Erlic, Uror Racic, Samu Castillejo, Domenico Berardi are all injured, while Matheus Henrique is suspended.

Scoreline Prediction

Lazio's positive run will see them overcome Sassuolo, who are preparing for life in Serie B.

Lazio 2-0 Sassuolo
