Tottenham Hotspur made hard work of their penultimate Europa League group stage game with a disappointing 3-3 draw against LASK.
Jose Mourinho opted for a relatively full-strength side in Austria and would have probably been surprised by the stubborn performances of his hosts as they took the lead and then came back to claim a draw against a Tottenham comeback.

✔️ GOOD PERFORMANCE
One of the few positives that Tottenham fans can take away from Thursday night’s game was seeing Gareth Bale get his name on the score sheet. The Wales international seemed determined to take on the responsibilities when the referee pointed to the penalty spot and duly knocked the ball home with ease.
Bale also finished the night with more dribbles than any other player on the pitch, as well as more shots. And while he may not have been able to do enough to win Tottenham all three points, Mourinho would have surely taken some confidence from his performance.
❌ BAD PERFORMANCE
While Bale may have shown what he could do, it was another night which unfortunately illustrated how little Lucas Moura was prepared to do. The Brazilian was hooked after 65 minutes without having a single dribble or shot to call his own and made just 14 passes throughout the duration of the game.
Having conceded six goals in his last five games for Tottenham, Joe Hart hasn’t exactly made many strong cases to be considered for the first-choice goalkeeping position. Unfortunately for the English goalkeeper, this match was yet another example of that.
While Hart may not have been able to do much for at least two of the goals, the shot-stopper should have done a lot better for the first goal, which bounced directly in front of him after being fired towards goal from about 40 yards out.
⭐ STAR MAN
Along with the aforementioned long-range goal that Hart failed to save and subsequently put the cat among the pigeons, Peter Michorl did a fantastic job of creating just about every attacking move that the hosts attempted against Tottenham on the night.
No player made more passes into the final third that LASK’s central midfielder and the 25-year-old managed to finish second for crosses too. Tottenham couldn’t handle Michorl for much of the match and that’s exactly why they were only allowed to leave Austria with a point.
