Kylian Mbappe played a starring role as he grabbed a hat-trick as Paris Saint-Germain dismantled Barcelona 4-1, going a long way to ensure their place in the quarter-finals of the Champions League.
Although PSG were stung by an incredible comeback from the Catalans in 2017, it will take a similar achievement from Ronald Koeman's side to turn this tie around.
And if Mbappe replicates anything like the form he showed at Camp Nou when the sides square off in the French capital on 10th March, their prospects seem remote.

With Neymar and Angel Di Maria both missing, the onus was on Mbappe to produce a big performance for PSG - and from the beginning he delivered. Mbappe was direct in possession and readily tested Sergino Dest, who was not up to his challenge.
⚽ ⏱️ 32’ Shortly after Messi's penalty had given the home team the lead, PSG find room down the left. A pass into the box is cleverly flicked on by Marco Verratti to Mbappe. ⚽ ⏱️ 65’ Mbappe had already been denied a hat-trick by a fine Ter Stegen save, but given another chance he makes no mistake with a graceful curling finish into the top corner of the net.
〽️ Mbappe: Rating Week-on-Week
✔️ IMPROVEMENT
Mbappe finished the evening with a perfect 10 FC Rating as he produced one of the best displays of his career. He had posted a 9.9 FC Rating against Montpellier in January. In between times, he has scored steadily but not spectacularly - a motif of his season. This, however, was truly a game that can help to define his career.
