Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has admitted that the last thing he’s worried about is his team’s place in the Premier League table, despite three draws from their last five league matches.
The Anfield side were held to a 0-0 draw against Newcastle United on Wednesday evening, which followed a 1-1 draw with West Brom three days earlier.
The results now mean that Manchester United could go level on points with Klopp’s side if they win their game in hand, while city rivals could move to within one point of Liverpool if they win theirs.
However, despite the disappointing result against Newcastle, Klopp was still proud of his team’s performance and isn’t worried about the amount of points they may be dropping at the moment.

“The last thing I’m thinking about is our position in the table at the moment,” Klopp told Amazon Sport after the match.
“It’s nice, but it doesn’t mean anything. We’ve now drawn our last two games and remain top of the table in a very difficult season and it just shows how difficult a season it has been for everybody.
“We are in a good mood. As good as possible. It’s as they say, if life gives you lemons then you make lemonade.
“That’s how it is and that’s how we try all of the time. We will keep going. The next game is Southampton, Aston Villa then Manchester United.
“That’s good. We know about our responsibilities, we try to do everything right around the games and be ready for the games.
“The boys were ready tonight and didn’t get the result we wanted. That’s not the worst thing in life, there are more difficult things to worry about at the moment.”
