Tottenham pair Harry Kane and Son Heung-min have written themselves into Premier League history by becoming the most prolific duo in a single Premier League season.

During Spurs’ 3-0 win over Leeds at the Tottenham Stadium, the pair combined in familiar style on a to seal three points for Jose Mourinho’s side.

A controversial penalty allowed Kane to open the scoring after 29 minutes, but the big moment arrived two minutes before the break. The England striker gathered the ball on the right before delivering a perfect cross that allowed Son to fire home a first-time finish.

It was the 13th time in the league this season that either Kane or Son had scored following a pass from their strike partner.

No combination has managed more over the course of a whole 38-game campaign. It took Kane and Son fewer than 17 matches to better that record.

Son would later chalk up another assist of his own, albeit this time he set up Toby Alderweireld to head home from a corner.

The pair were once again the class acts on the field, with Kane posting an 8.2 FC Rating and marginally eclipsed by Son, who achieved an 8.6 FC Rating.
