After Monday’s game with Manchester City was postponed due to a COVID outbreak, Everton now face West Ham off the back of a four-match winning streak and just six points off first-placed Everton.
Whether Carlo Ancelotti’s side can match an improved West Ham will come down to the players at the Italian manager’s disposal and whether he can ensure a performance out of his key players.
In defence, Ancelotti will unquestionably stick with Jordan Pickford between the posts. In front of the England striker, the Everton manager is likely to pick his usual back four of Mason Holgate, Yerry Mina, Michael Keane and Ben Godfrey.
Ancelotti is still without Allan, so Everton fans are likely to see a midfield duo of 22-year-old Tom Davies alongside the more experienced Abdoulaye Doucoure. Captain Gylfi Sigurdsson will almost certainly keep his spot in the No.10 position.
It seems as though the home side will still be without James Rodriguez through injury, so Ancelotti will almost certainly stick with Alex Iwobi on the right and then call upon the returning Richardlison on the left.
Up front there’s little doubt over Dominic Calvert-Lewin keeping his spot in the No.9 position after 11 goals in 15 Premier League games this season.
