It's official: Jadon Sancho's slump is over. After starting 2021 with a goal and an assist against Wolfsburg, he repeated the feat versus RB Leipzig as Dortmund's recovery continued with a 3-0 win.

The first half of this encounter was uneventful, with Sancho not able to make the difference going forward.

⏱️ 55’ Ten minutes into the second half, the deadlock is broken. Marco Reus sets up Sancho, and he finishes for his second goal in as many games.

A ⏱️ 71’ Dortmund seal the points. Erling Haaland shows incredible power and skill to bustle through four opposing players before shuttling the ball to the left, where Sancho is poised. After an initial probe fails, Sancho receives the ball again and crosses for the Norway man to head a second.

Haaland added a third for Dortmund late on as Reus got his second assist of the match, while Alexander Sorloth got one back late on.

Sancho has now posted three excellent games in succession after going six months without a Bundesliga goal. On paper, his 8.2 FC Rating may be a dip compared to the 8.8 FC Rating he achieved against Wolfsburg, but there is no doubt his overall level is dramatically improving.
